Susan's overall comment: A lovely read

I loved this book from the start, and I was not let down. It was easy to read, well written and I could relate to the characters. It was descriptive and imaginative, I was taken away to this remote Scottish island.

Kate was dumped on her best friends wedding, by boring spreadsheet addict Ian. Wanting to start a new life she takes on a girl Friday job on the remote Scottish island of Auchenmor. Even though she has promised no men for a year, she starts to fall for Roddy, Laird of the island.

This is a lovely romantic, heart warming story. I loved the characters and the island. It will lift your spirits whenever and however you pick up this book. This book is escapism at its very best.
